Most people misunderstand boundaries.
Most people misunderstand boundaries. A boundary is not telling someone else how to live their life. It’s not controlling their choices. It’s not forcing them to change. A real boundary is something you decide for yourself. As therapist and bestselling author Nedra Glover Tawwab explains: You can’t control someone’s behavior. But you can decide what you will and won’t participate in. For example: “I won’t buy you alcohol.” “I won’t pay your rent if you spend your money on drinking.” That’s a boundary. Because boundaries are about your actions - not someone else’s behavior. 🎧 Watch the full conversation on What Matters with Liz at @Real WomansWorld.
